Carol Sue Caudill, age 70, of Albion died Friday, October 2, 2020 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital in Jackson surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Caudill was born on June 1, 1950 in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to Carl and Irene (Haywood) Fitzpatrick. The family moved to Michigan and Carol attended and graduated from Springport High School with the class of 1968. She continued her education receiving a license in Cosmetology. Carol worked as the restaurant manager for the old Elias Brother's Big Boy Restaurant in Albion and then with the Denny's Diner in Marshall for many years.
On August 17, 1968, she married the love of her life, Donald Ray Caudill in Springport. He preceded her in death on December 19, 1994.
Carol enjoyed watching her husband, Donnie, play music with his band. She also enjoyed softball, collecting patriotic items of all sorts, shopping and watching crime shows on the television. Her true passion in life was spending time with and doing things for her children, grandchildren, and grand dogs. She loved animals especially her pet bird, Pauley.
She is survived by her children, Tim (Michelle) Caudill of Springport; and daughter, Jessica Hazel of Marshall; grandchildren, Zeth, Gavin, Chase, Maddison, Elijah, Alexandra, Nick, Codee and Kaja and 4 great grandchildren, Emerson, Amelia, Liam and Wyatt. She is also survived by her mother, Irene Fitzpatrick of Albion; brother, Larry (Marian) Fitzpatrick of Albion; sister, Wanda (Dave) Cooley of Parma; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Donald; father, Carl Fitzpatrick; and step-father, Edd Blasingim.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 9, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 5 PM at the Freeway Church, 28900 B Drive North, Albion, MI. A funeral service to celebrate the gift of her life will be held 5 PM at the church with Pastor Steve Meszaros officiating. Interment will follow in Albion Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Albion.
