Bruce Edward Matarazzo, 69, of Marshall, MI passed away unexpectedly on June 24, 2021, at Spectrum Health Butterworth in Grand Rapids, MI. Bruce was born on May 18, 1952, in Detroit, MI to the late John and Kathryn (Meyers) Matarazzo.
Bruce proudly served and retired after twenty years from the United States Army as a Sergeant First Class and Musashi Auto Parts as a forklift driver after sixteen years. He enjoyed golf, camping, fishing, boating and really, anything outdoors. Bruce had a strong passion for Tri Lakes Trails Campground where he loved both camping and working with all the other staff members. His heartbeat though, was for his family, he dearly loved his kids and grandkids. Bruce was also known for his willingness to help anyone, needing anything!
Bruce is survived by his wife, Patty; three children, Kaitlyn (fiancé, Ron) Matarazzo, Ashley (fiancé, Douglas) Matarazzo and Jordan (Kay-Kay) Olin; sisters, Betty Somero and Beverly (Richard) Johnson. He is preceded in death by his brothers, William Matarazzo, Bobby Matarazzo, Frank Matarazzo, Joseph Matarazzo and brother-in-law, Nicholas Somero.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068. Visitation will take place on Sunday, July 4, 2021, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm and Monday, July 5, 2021, from 8:30am until the time of the service at 9:30am with Pastor Jim Codde officiating. A committal service will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Road, Augusta, MI 49012.
