Betty L. (Duckham) Dowding

Betty L. Dowding, 93, of Marshall died peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at Marshall Nursing and Rehabilitation Community following a short illness.
Betty was born on July 21, 1927 in Tekonsha to George and Phila (Hoyt) Duckham. She attended Marshall Schools. On January 26, 1946 she married Kenneth G. Dowding at the West Eckford Church. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1997.
Betty was a proud Kellogg Employee for 33 years. She retired in 1992. She was a member of the Convis Union United Methodist Church. Betty loved her family and enjoyed being surrounded by her family and friends.
She is survived by her children, Debra (Dennis) Wilson, Dixie (Dennis) Pardoe, and Donald (Kay) Dowding; 9 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sisters Kay Jacobs and Pat Palmer. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son Douglas Dowding; and siblings Barbara Harrington and Ken Duckham
Visitation will take place at from 4-7pm on Tuesday August 25, 2020 at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 723 Old US Hwy 27 N Marshall MI 49068. **Due to Covid19 there will be marked entrances and exits to be used with limited number of visitors in side the building. There is an outside gathering place for visitation were safety guide lines shall be practiced.** A funeral service will take place at 10am on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 723 Old US Hwy 27 N Marshall MI 49068.
