Barbara Arlene (Mead) Mainstone

January 11, 1932 — June 18, 2020

Barbara Arlene Mainstone, age 88, of Battle Creek, passed away on Thursday, June 18, 2020.

She was born on January 11, 1932 the daughter of the late Clair F. Mead and Helen Louise (Backer) Mead. Barbara worked for Post Cereal Company for 37 years.

She was married to Earl Kenneth Mainstone in 1958 for seventeen years. They enjoyed traveling together. Earl preceded Barbara in death in 1975. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time outdoors.

Barbara is survived by two children, Shirley Chichester of Marshall and Melvin Kinney of Battle Creek; four grandchildren; Darrek (Heather) Chichester, Matthew and Jennifer Kinney and Jeff Liskow; five great-grandchildren; her sister, Sharon Zienert; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death also by her brother and sister, Harold Mead and Louise Meyers.

Cremation has taken place and private interment will take place in Battle Creek Memorial Park Cemetery.
