Amanda Marie Vandenburg

Amanda “Mandy” Marie (Buell) Vandenburg, of Parma, formerly of Homer, age 42, died Friday, January 20, 2023 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Mandy was born April 7, 1980 in Pontiac. She was a 1998 graduate of Homer High School. She was a member of the state championship track team and also played basketball and volleyball.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Baker College in health care administration.

Mandy is survived by her husband, Erick; sons, Logan and Landon Church; stepsons, Beau and Parker Vandenburg; parents, Pamela and Dwight Buell of Homer; brothers, Jason (Dawn) of Arizona, Steven (Sezen) of New Jersey; grandfather, Charles Redman; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carol Redman, Ralph and Iva Buell.

Visitation for Mandy will take place on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 from 10:00 am – 12:00 Noon at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 303 S. Hillsdale Street, Homer, Michigan 49245 with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 Noon. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery (561 N. Milford Rd. Highland, Michigan 48357) following the funeral service.

The family requests memorial contributions to be made to Logan and Landon Church c/o County National Bank 109 W. Main St. Homer, Michigan 49245 to go towards their educational fund.
