William C Sanwald

William C. Sanwald, died August 29 at Oaklawn Hospital. Born in Alexandria, VA,  to William H. and Marian (Dahnke) Sanwald. He was a longtime resident of Marshall and Kalamazoo.

William was a steel salesman for McElroy Metal and former music and film merchandiser. He had a great passion for music and a penchant for wordplay. He loved the Red Wings and - much to the consternation of his friends and neighbors - the New York Yankees.

William is survived by his two sons, Ian W. Sanwald of Lansing and Jacob A. Sanwald of Kalamazoo; sister Kim A. Sanwald of Cloverdale, MI; brother Mark A. Sanwald of Wilkesboro, NC; and his friend and ex-wife Pamela A. Sanwald of Marshall.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

There will be a private celebration of life for friends and family.

Arrangements were entrusted to Kempf Funeral and Cremation Service, Marshall.
