Thomas George Blatter, 87, of Albion, MI passed away on July 26, 2021, at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing. Tom was born on May 20, 1934, in Cleveland, OH to the late, John and Roslyn (Pentland) Warner. He was a graduate of the class of 1953 at Garden City High School, in Garden City, MI. Tom obtained an associate degree from Henry Ford Community College and retired from Wayne/Westland Community Schools where he taught heating and cooling. On December 18, 1954, in Garden City, MI. Tom married the love of his life, his pride and joy, Sonna (Van Buren) Blatter who will miss him dearly until they meet again to be together forever with Jesus. Tom enjoyed hunting, hunting, and more hunting, working in his barn, farming on his tractor, woodworking and reading his Bible, but nothing compared to his love and devotion toward God and his family.
Tom is survived by his wife, and together they have three children, twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren:
Daughter, Trudi Sligh and husband, David whose three sons are Nathan and wife, Marijane with their children, Walter, Madelynne Jane, Cooper and Stuart. Kyle and wife, Christy with their daughter, Carolina. As well as Anthony and wife, Kelsey with their children, Jackson, Elodie, Margaret and Arthur.
Son, Tom Warner whose son, Devon has preceded him in death.
Son, Tim Warner and wife, Rebekah whose eight children are Rachel, Meghan, Jared, Joshua, Caleb, Luke, Emma, and Brooklynn.
Tom is also survived by brother, Richard and wife, Peggy Blatter; several nieces; nephews; and cousins. He is preceded in death by parents; brother, John "Jack" Blatter and previously mentioned grandson, Devon.
Services have been entrusted to Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 U.S. Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI, 49068. The family will gather with friends on Friday, July 30, 2021, from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Rice Creek Community Church, 23906 L Drive North Marshall, MI 49068. There will also be a visitation on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Kempf Family Funeral Homes, Marshall Chapel at 1:30pm with the funeral service at beginning at 2:00pm, Pastor Steve Van Slyke officiating. Interment will take place at Rice Creek Cemetery in Lee Township MI.
