Susan "Aunt Sue" M. Martin

Susan “Aunt Sue” Martin, 67, of Homer, passed away on April 29, 2022, at Henry Ford Allegiance, in the Jackson, MI.

She was born on August 12, 1954, to Eldon and Gurtrude (Barber) Martin at Sheldon Memorial Hospital, in Albion, MI. She graduated from Homer High School in 1975. Susan lived in Homer, all her life. Susan worked at Manchester Plastics until they went out of business. After that, she worked at Ruthie’s Daycare, for her friend of many years, Ruthie Mestdagh. Everyone knew her as Aunt Sue. She loved working with children. Being an avid knitter, she would make baby blankets and give them out to new mothers. She really loved animals, visiting with all her friend’s pets. She spent a lot of time at the Homer Public Library, and she leaves a lot of friends there.

Susan is survived by her sister, Carolyn (Larry) Thomas of Tekonsha, MI; Two Brothers, Roger (Fran) Martin of Homer, MI, Steve (Ann) Martin of Albion, MI; many nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by Father, Eldon Lee Martin, Mother, Gurtrude Martin, Brother, Larry Martin, and infant sister, Sandra Sue Martin.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 1:00 PM, at Fairview Cemetery in Homer, MI, with Pastor Melanie Johnson officiating.

Arrangements were entrusted  to Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
