Steven Wayne Peck, age 44 of Homer passed away on February 15, 2022 at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital in Jackson.
He was born on September 5, 1977 to Wayne and Carol Peck. He graduated from Homer High School, class of 1996. He had various jobs in the landscaping industry, but his specialty was in selling landscape lighting and designs. He enjoyed the challenge that each design brought.
Steve was the only boy in the family and he used that to his full advantage. He could talk his mom into anything he wanted and get away with most things. His mom never had favorites but if she did, it would have been Steve! Steve enjoyed making people laugh, fishing, poker, and learning about anything and everything. He was an avid reader. One thing everyone would agree on is you always knew where you stood with Steve and he never sugar-coated anything! However, if a person was lucky enough to know Steve, they knew he had the biggest heart. His generosity and love for others was unwavering.
Steve is survived by his loving family, parents Wayne and Carol Peck of Homer, sisters Stephanie (Eric) Janzen of Laingsburg, Shar (Joe) Roblee of Homer, and April (Joe) Booth of Okemos. He is also survived by his nephews and nieces, Ben, Michelle, Brett, Melodie, Jackson, Sophia as well as his aunt Lois Peck. Steve was preceded in death by his grandparents and his aunt, Julia Duncan.
A celebration of life visitation will be held on Sunday, February 20th from 3 to 6 p.m. at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 303 S. Hillsdale Rd. Homer, Michigan 49245.
In lieu of flowers, Steve would rather you spend your time taking a child fishing or enjoying a day on the lake.
