Sharon Lynn Hollister

Sharon Lynn Hollister, 76, passed away on May 10, 2024, at her home in Albion, Michigan.  

She was born on November 6, 1947, to Daniel and Amelia (Smith) Thomas at Harrisonburg, Virgina. Sharon was previously married to Oral Frank Hollister, who later preceded her in death on June 10, 2002.   

On October 6, 1997, Sharon married Landon Clawson. He also preceded her in death on March 29, 2005.  

Sharon was the go-to neighborhood babysitter and was known to everyone as “grandma”. She was a talented baker and enjoyed making cookies, cakes, or anything sweet. While her kids were growing up, Sharon volunteered as the room mom at school. Sharon loved animals, especially her dog Riley, who she said was her reason for getting up in the morning.   

Sharon will be remembered for being fiery and sassy but always someone who loved her family and friends deeply. 

Sharon is survived by her children, Daniel Hollister of Marshall, Michigan, Bobby (LeeAnn) Hollister of Battle Creek, Michigan, Jamie Lynn (David Brown) Hollister of Marshall, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Candice Chapman, Brianna Hollister, Samantha Hollister, Tessa Hollister, Joseph Hollister, Shelby Brown, Cali Brown; six great-grandchildren, Kailey Dishman, Charlize Dishman, Cecelia Chapman, Jackson Potter, Oliver Potter, and Aurora Potter; cousins Nanette Clatterbuck and Carl Clatterback, Jr; and her furry companion, Riley. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and both previous husbands. 

Visitation will be held Monday, May 20, 2024, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, Michigan 49068
     

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024, 1:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, Marshall, Michigan. Burial will follow at Rice Creek Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Humane Society of South-Central Michigan.
