Ruthanne Morris

Ruthanne Morris, age 80, passed away August 17, 2024, at Marshall Nursing and Rehab in Marshall, Michigan. She was born July 8, 1944, to John Robert and Marjorie (Berg) Dickert in Ashland, Wisconsin.

Ruthanne graduated from Pennfield High School in Battle Creek, Michigan. While in school, Ruthanne was a majorette. She worked as a waitress and bartender at Nottke’s. Ruthanne enjoyed bowling and pool, and was part of the VNEA 8Ball Pool League as a captain, as well as the Thursday Night Mix League. She also loved to camp, especially at Fort Custer, Ludington, and Gun Lake. She enjoyed going to the beach while visiting her family in Florida. Ruthanne loved her kids, and really loved being a grandma. 

Ruthanne is survived by her longtime boyfriend William Holder of Battle Creek, Michigan; son Kevin (Robin) Morris of Florida; granddaughter Allisia (Mikey) Blood of Florida; great-grandchildren Mason, Silas, Wyatt, and Ellie; and brother Robert (Robin) Dickert of Battle Creek, Michigan.

She is preceded in death by her son Timothy Morris; mother Margaret; father John; and stepmother Kay Dickert.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US HWY 27 North, Marshall, Michigan. No services have been planned at this time
