Ronald F. Trine, 77, of Marshall, passed away unexpectedly on July 2, 2022. He was born on October 16, 1944, to William S. and Marybelle (Thornton) Trine in Marshall, MI. Ron was a graduate of Marshall High School and worked as a Powerhouse Engineer for Kellogg Company over twenty-eight years, retiring in 1998.
On May 29, 1965, in Marshall, Michigan, Ron married the love of his life, Nancy L. Drumhiller who preceded him in death on June 7, 1996. They enjoyed raising their family of three daughters who survive them, Jill (Kevin) Koyl and Shelby Trine, both of Marshall, as well as Nichole Trine-Koewers and her partner, Scott Kaltenbach of Traverse City. Ron and Nancy also had the privilege of caring for nephew Jerry Drumhiller and niece Nancy Senese-Wiser, both of whom held a special place in Ron’s heart.
Ron was an old car enthusiast, enjoyed tinkering & restoration and especially enjoyed the "Cruise to the Fountain". He was proud, yet humble to be a member of the Undefeated Marshall Football Team of 1963. Ron also loved listening to oldies music especially Roy Orbison.
Ron is also survived by his four grandsons, Gabriel Koewers, Andrew Koewers, Jake Koyl, and Kirby Koyl; niece, Joye McHale; wife, Hannah and her five sons. He was preceded in death by his parents; identical twin brother, Donald and older brother Michael Trine; niece, Melanie K. Gonzales and nephew, David A. Trine.
Special thanks to his wonderful doctors, nurses, and caregivers at Marshall Comfort Care Assisted Living whom he truly appreciated!
