Rollin L Mains, 88, passed away peacefully in Battle Creek, Michigan May 7th, 2024, and is home with his Lord, Jesus Christ.
Rollin was born on June 14th, 1935, to parents, Dewitt and Pansy (Winslow) Mains in Battle Creek, Michigan. He attended Battle Central High School, served in the Korean War with the US Navy. He married the love of his life of 66 years, Grace M. Mains.
He was a highly skilled tool and die machinist for his career of over 50 years.
He enjoyed golf, hunting, bowling, bike-riding, flower gardening, attending his Navy reunions, taking cruises with his wife and was a long time Red Wings hockey fan. He was a loyal husband, wonderful father, loving grandfather and great grandfather.
Rollin is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Grace; daughter, Brenda Mains of San Jacinto, CA; son, Rollin (Laura) Mains of Battle Creek, MI; two grandsons, Justin Mains and Taylor (Amy) Mains; two great- grandsons, Dominic and Dean Mains; sister, Virginia Duflo; and brothers, Stanley Mains and David Mains.
He is preceded in death by parents; brothers, Virgil Mains, Richard Mains, Kenneth Mains, and James Mains.
Private services have taken place at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
