Roland "Griz" Owens

Roland Max “Griz” Owens, 78, a proud veteran of the United States Airforce, passed away on January 20, 2022, after a short illness. He was born on January 6, 1944, to Emily and Max Owens in Marshall, MI. After graduating from Marshall High School, he enlisted in the military. Upon discharge, he began his career with Michigan Bell until his retirement.

He was a past worshipful master of Ira A Beck Lodge 503. He was a devoted husband, who enjoyed spending time with his family and his daily coffee buddies. He was an avid outdoorsman with many hobbies over his lifetime.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Veronica, his 5 children, Bob, Ron, John and Don Owens and Stephanie Meyer, numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, MI 49068. A memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2022, with Rev. Buzz Farrand officiating. A time of visiting to follow from 3:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M.
