Philip "Phil" Earle Gardner, 43, of Albion, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Henry Ford Health Systems in Detroit, Michigan.

He was born on June 28, 1979 to Glen and Patricia (Mier) Gardner in Cheverly, Maryland. Philip "Phil" worked as a Crisis Interventionist for Marshall Opportunity High School in Albion. On June 18, 2012 he married Randi Gardner in Battle Creek, Michigan.

He graduated from Northern High School in Owings, Maryland. Phil and Randi relocated to Albion, Michigan, he started attending Albion College and earned his Bachelor's Degree in Education. Phil will be fondly remembered for his love of helping students and being a truly selfless person. When he wasn't working, he was always making memories with his family, whether going camping or other activities. Lastly, he was a very happy person and enjoyed bringing joy to all whom he encountered.

Phil is survived by his loving spouse; Randi, his stepdaughter; Sierra "Casey" Denton of Albion, Michigan, his twin son and daughter; Sean Gardner of Albion, Michigan and Eliza Gardner of Albion, Michigan and his sister; Karin (Nicholas) Schuh of Greenwood, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Isabel Gardner and his parents.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
