Melissa Kay (Adkins) Kelley

Melissa Kay Kelley, 47, of Battle Creek, passed away on December 13, 2022.

She was born on April 3, 1975 to Richard and Sandra (Smith) Adkins at Battle Creek, MI. She graduated from Harper Creek High School in 1993. Melissa worked as a housekeeper. She enjoyed making coasters out of crafting materials and was a hot air balloon enthusiast. She loved her many cats.

Melissa is survived by her father and mother, Richard Adkins and Sandra (Smith) Adkins; and her brother, Richard Adkins II; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded her in death by her grandparents; and a son, Shawn Kelley; aunt, Paula Adkins, Joyce Chism; uncle, Bob Adkins and his wife, Diane; Dean Adkins.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2022, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 2838 Capital Ave SW, Battle Creek, MI 49015, where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at 11:00 am. Burial will take place in the Battle Creek Memorial Park, following the service.
