Marcia Ann Klein (née Milliken) of Marshall, MI went to heaven on October 30, 2022. She was lovingly surrounded by her family and her health care families.
Marcia was born on December 13, 1937, to Howard B. and Isabelle (Ziarniak) Milliken in South Bend, IN.
She spent her young life growing up at Milliken’s Camp with her parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. She shared many fond memories with her extended family. She graduated from South Bend Central High School in 1955. It was there that she caught the eye of Jare T. Klein. They were married on February 23, 1957.
Marcia’s main job was being a great housewife and mother to her five children. Her family was most important to her. She was an expert mother and homemaker. Her kitchen was her kingdom. Cooking and baking for her family brought her joy. Her hobbies were knitting, sewing and shopping (especially QVC); she was a professional shopper! Marcia also enjoyed traveling, especially to Maine, and made sure to leave enough space for her new L.L. Bean purchases.
In 1979, Marcia attained her realtor’s license. She worked in real estate while raising her children and taking courses at Olivet College. In 1989 she graduated from Olivet College with a BA in Psychology. In 1991, Marcia challenged herself and earned an RN degree from Kellogg Community College.
Marcia worked at several places: Bell Telephone Co., The Children’s Shoppe, Heritage Reality and Oaklawn Hospital. She was a successful distributor/representative for Vivian Woodard and Avon. Her family was proud of her many accomplishments.
The faith that Marcia lived was strong and she passed this along to her children, grandchildren and great grands. Her family lovingly referred to her as “Sister or Saint Marcia”.
Marcia was a kind and loving soul who will be greatly missed by her family, friends, special neighbors and her caregivers from Promedica Hospice and Peachy Home Care.
Marcia joins in heaven her parents Howard and Isabelle Milliken; a sister, Andrianne Lockmondy; a special Aunt Irene and Uncle Carl Kimmel; and her in-laws Theodore and Virginia Klein. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Jare T. Klein; her children, Monte Klein, Christy Klein, Heidi (Steve) Klein-Line, Rockne (Tod) Finley, Gipp (Jamie) Klein; grandchildren, Meredith (Jason) Line, Amelia (Kurtis) Drummond, Natalie Bannister, Garrett Line, Nigel Klein, Ava Klein, Vaughn Klein, Griffin Klein, Nicki (Ian) Olmstead, Jeremy (Christina) Heisey, and Jessie Heisey.
