Judith "Judy" Ann Heidenreich, 87, of Marshall, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in the loving care of family at home.
She was born on August 25, 1937 to Wenzel and Ruth (Heidler) Dingman in Saginaw, Michigan.
She graduated from Saginaw Arthur Hill High School in 1955. On December 28, 1957 Judy married Robert "Bob" Heidenreich in Saginaw, Michigan, sadly he passed away on November 21, 2022.
Judy enrolled at The University of Michigan earning her Bachelor of Science Degree in Dance Physical Education in 1959. She also pursued and received a Master of Arts Degree from Western Michigan University in 1977.
Judy was a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church in Marshall, Michigan. After her children were older, Judy discovered her passion for teaching dance. Her students ranged in age from preschool to adults. She was still teaching from home up until this past summer. Showcasing her love of dance, Judy was a performer and choreographer with the Marshall Civic Players for many years. Judy enjoyed spending summers at their cabin on Lake Charlevoix with Bob and family, boating and attending Broadway Musicals in New York. Traveling to New York and England were the highlights of her many trips. Reading and being outside, whether, gardening or weeding and enjoying the sunshine were some of her favorite things to do.
Judy is survived by her loving children: David (Annmarie) Heidenreich of Marshall, Michigan, Tammy (Todd) Ryan of Hillsdale, Michigan and Amy (Jay Dunne) Heidenreich of Darien, Connecticut; her 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert "Bob" Walter Heidenreich DDS, her siblings, Robert Dingman, Ronald Dingman, Nancy Dingman and Suzzane Grant.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 6, 2024, from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N Marshall, Michigan 49068.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 7, 2024, at 11:00 am at the Zion Lutheran Church of Marshall with Reverend Anthony Voltattorni officiating. A visitation will begin at 10:00 am prior to the funeral service at the church.
Burial will take place Oakridge Cemetery in Marshall, Michigan.
