Frances Louise (Tramel) Swan

Frances Louise Swan, 89, of Battle Creek, passed away on March 6, 2022.

She was born on March 27, 1932, to John and Oma (Hicks) Tramel. She retired from the Kellogg Company in Battle Creek, after many years of service. She was a member of First Wesleyan Church in Battle Creek. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and cooking.

Frances was united in marriage with Maurice Swan, who preceded her in death. She is survived by their daughters, Sandra (Matt) Compton and Becki (Bill) Dornton; grandsons, Travis Compton, Ethan Dornton, and Eli Dornton; and siblings, Sue Corbin, Janet Belote, Karen Ryan, John Tramel, Richard Tramel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Tramel and Oma Tramel; and siblings Louise Perry, Calvin Tramel, T.J. Tramel, Nina Loveland, and Robert Tramel.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022, 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 2838 Capital Ave SW, Battle Creek, MI 49015, where the funeral service will follow at 1 p.m., with Bill Dornton officiating. A private family graveside service will take place in Morgan Cemetery.
