Brian Eugene Goff, age 64, of Marshall, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023.
Brian was born in Battle Creek, Michigan, on May 3, 1958, the son of Harold Phillip Goff and Leota Mae (Throop) Goff. He worked for Coca-Cola for over 20 years as a forklift operator, winning many forklift competitions and building an extensive Coke collection. After retirement he ran Marshall Motor Lodge in Michigan, where he considered many of the residents as his friends. Brian, to his children, was thought of as the cool Harley Davidson motorcycle-riding dad and nowhere he went was there ever a person he considered a stranger. Through the years he was a mentor to many youth as a Boy Scout Cubmaster and a baseball and softball coach. Brian enjoyed fishing and playing Scrabble (although he would lose a lot to his wife). Brian liked to consider himself as tough and rough around the edges, but in actuality he had the best hugs and the warmest touch. He was a very caring, thoughtful, and sensitive person that was always willing to lend a hand and was the person to go to for sincere honest talks about life.
He married the love of his life, Levia A. (Cannon) Goff, on February 14, 1986. They made quite the duo and they loved each other just as passionately as the day they got married 36 years ago. She survives him along with seven children: Brian (Krystle Murray) Walters, Brandy (Josh) Johnson, Tiffany (Scott) Beal, Ashley (Adam) Migliorino, Bridget (Sean) Walsh, Brittany Goff, and Brandon (Emily) Goff; and 12 grandchildren: Mckenna, Donovan, Jayce, Kayden, Blake, Ashton, Bailey, Lainey, Piper, Braden, Harrison and Elisabeth. He is also survived by his father and step-mother, Harold and Brenda Goff, and his siblings; Jackie (Bob) Sebastion, Harold (Janet) Goff, Lynne Benek, John Goff, Tim (Carla) Goff, and David (Karen) Goff.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service to celebrate Brian’s life will be officiated by Pastor Roy Henry at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Faith Baptist Church, 13840 Helmer Rd S, Battle Creek, MI 49015.
