Bobby Keith Angell

Bobby Keith Angell, 94, of Battle Creek, Michigan passed away on July 11, 2024, at home surrounded in the love of his family. 

He was born on February 18, 1930, to Irl and Lizzy (Collins) Angell in Summers, Arkansas. Grew up in Battle Creek and he attended Lakeview High School. Bobby worked as a Project Manager for Union Pump Company. On July 22, 1950, he married the love of his life, Barbara Gennoe, they lived and raised their family in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Bobby enjoyed gardening and yard work, traveling to many incredible destinations, Cedar Point trips with kids, and “his” mountains. Although Bobby enjoyed many things, his greatest passion was watching his kids and grandkids play sports of all kinds, he followed each one through all their years of competition and was the greatest cheerleader of all. 

Bobby is survived by his loving wife of 74 years, Barbara; his two daughters, Sheri J. Angell of Charlotte, NC and Lori K. (Alex) Weston of Battle Creek, MI; his son, Brian M. Angell of Langhorne, PA; four grandsons, Josh (Leah) Hansen, Brandon (Brooke) Hansen, Skyler (Elizabeth) VanEeuwen and Zachary Angell; his two foster sisters, Linley (Wayne) Houseman, Shane Albert; his foster brother, Cam Hamilton; and his seven great-grandkids, Hensley, Parker, Hudson, Rhett, Arya, Emilia, Nash. 

He was preceded in death by son, Jeffrey Keith Angell; parents, Irl and Lizzy Angell; and brothers, Wayne (Reatha) Angell, and Garvin (Helen) Angell.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2024, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 2838 Capital Ave, SW, Battle Creek, Michigan 49015.

A funeral service will also be held at the funeral home the following day, on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, 12:00 pm. Pastor Steve Olmstead, officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, 255 South Ave, Battle Creek, MI, 49014.
