Berniece Ann Parker

Berniece Ann Parker, 85, of Marshall, passed away on June 11, 2024, surrounded by her family. 

She was born on November 9, 1938, to Earnest and Alta May (Schwark) Plushnik in Ceresco, Michigan. She was a graduate of Marshall High School, class of 1956. Berniece worked as a Teller, then a Bookkeeper for United Savers Federal Credit Union in Springfield, Michigan for over 30 years. On November 8, 1958, she married the love of her life, Fred Parker at the First Methodist Church, Battle Creek, Michigan, and they spent 57 amazing years together.

Berniece was a very strong, kind woman that loved her family. She was an amazing cook and enjoyed family get togethers. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to shop, especially QVC. She enjoyed the Calhoun County Fair with her husband every year, she was a great 4-H Mom watching her children show horses and in later years watching her grandchildren show lambs. She especially enjoyed watching the horse pulls and watching the Draft Horse show as well as the semi and truck pulls. She loved all animals, especially her cat Oreo. She will be missed by many. 

Berniece is survived by her son, Matthew T. (Cindy) Parker of Homer, MI; daughter, Susan Kay (David) Rohrbach of Shartlesville, PA; grandson, Cameron (Jordan) Parker; granddaughter, Kaylee (Benjamin) Silbernagel; great-grandsons, Dawson and Hudson Silbernagel; great-granddaughter, Blayke Parker; sister, Nina Halder; sister-in-law, Sara Plushnik, brother-in-law Dennis Casey; as well as several nieces; nephews; and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by husband, Fred Louie Parker; parents, Earnest and Alta May Plushnik; brothers, Bob Plushnik, and Larry Plushnik; sisters, Joanne Casey, and Helen Askew, brother-in-law Lee Halder, brother-in-law Donald Askew, sister-in-law Mary Jeanne Plushnik

Arrangements have been entrusted to Kempf Family Funeral & Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, Michigan, 49068. There will be no services per Berniece's wishes.
