Barbara E. Aaron

March 21, 1927 — October 18, 2024

Marshall

Barbara E. Aaron, 97, of Marshall, Michigan passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024 at the Villa at Winston Court in Marshall, Michigan.

She was born on March 21, 1927 to Oscar and Daisy (Foreacre) Bolinger in Marshall, Michigan.

On June 14, 1952, Barbara married Paul S. Aaron Jr. in Marshall, Michigan, sadly he passed away on October 13, 2001. After graduating from Marshall High School, she accepted a job at Percy Jones General Hospital in Battle Creek, Michigan as an executive secretary for the commanding officer until 1953. Afterwards, she remained at home to raise her children and then later became employed as a secretary with Marshall Public Schools for many years.

She was a life-long member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marshall and became an active member of the Rosary Society. She was a longtime religious education teacher at St. Mary's and was a fixture at helping with events and projects pertaining to the church. Barbara volunteered with local elections and was an election official. She is affectionately known throughout Marshall as one of the regular walking groups, at the same time every day, no matter what the weather. Bárbara was an excellent pianist, singer and loved to help her daughter Cecelia with her own musical journey. Above all else, she absolutely loved her faith and family. She was the pillar that the family could always depend on, whether it was a loving touch, gently giving advice, attending her children and grandchildren's activities and events or just knowing she was there.

Barbara is survived by her loving children, Paula (Thomas) Tinholt Holland, Michigan, Patrick (Michelle) Aaron of Marshall, Michigan, Richard (Charlotte) Aaron of Traverse City, Michigan, James (Carol) Aaron of Ada, Michigan and Cecelia (Brent) Morrisson of Allegan, Michigan; her grandchildren, Daniel Aaron, Mary Aaron, Reilly Aaron, Stephen Tinholt, Sarah (Andrew) Rugg and Sophia Morrisson; her great grandchildren, Norah and Elise Rugg.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and seven sisters.
