Wesley Lee Brannon

December 6, 1946 — February 21, 2019

Wesley L. Brannon age 72, of Marshall, passed away February 19, 2019, at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital.

Wes was born on December 6, 1946, in Marshall to Ralph and Hazel (Ryan) Brannon. Wes attended Marshall Public Schools. He married Sheryl Wilson on May 5th, 1966 and they had one son.

Wes entered into the United States Army in May of 1966, serving one tour of duty in Viet Nam. Wes married Karen Rogers of Coldwater on August 16, 1969. They had 2 daughters and shared 49 loving years together.

Wes spent the majority of his working life as a heavy duty truck mechanic. He enjoyed woodworking and gardening. Wes was always working on projects and would spend hours tinkering in his garage. He was a foody , who took pleasure in growing, cooking and eating his own food. He was the chef of the family and taught his children everything he knew about cooking.

Wes is survived by his wife, Karen Brannon of Marshall; children, Wesley Dale Brannon, Dana Krutsch, and M. Kate (Scott) Wolf, all of Marshall; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Brannon of Olivet; sister, Jean Price of Stevenson, AL; and a multitude of extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Hazel Brannon. A memorial service in Wesley's honor will take place at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 Old US 27 North, Marshall Chapel on Monday, February 25, 2019, at 11 am.
