Teresa G. Ferris, 64, of Marshall went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Oaklawn Hospital surround by her family and close friends.
Teresa was born on November 24, 1953 in Marshall to Levern and Anita (Laing) Brandt. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1972. On November 5, 1983 she married Dean M. Ferris at the Marshall United Methodist Church.
Teresa worked for many years at Oaklawn Hospital as Nurse's Aide. She also worked as a Physical Therapy Aide for Rehabilitation Associates. Teresa was a member of the Marshall United Methodist Church, Marshall Women of the Moose, and the Battle Creek Eagles Club. She enjoyed reading, camping, and fishing. Teresa loved spending time with her family and taking care of others.
She is survived by her husband Dean of Marshall; sister Elaine (Bob) Maisner of Marshall; nieces and nephew, Ashley (Tony) Mains, Elise (Jerry) Killebrew, Kelsey Maisner, and Tyler Maisner; and her Aunt Shirley (Grant) Myers. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family will greet friends from 10-11 AM on Friday September 28, 2018 at the Marshall United Methodist Church 721 US 27 North with a funeral service taking place at 11AM with Reverend Melany Chalker officiating. Interment will follow at Lyon Lake Cemetery. Family will gather with friends following the committal services in the Marshall United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall. Memorial Contributions are requested to Marshall United Methodist. Assistance with memorials is available at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
