Sharon Joleen Rapp

Sharon Joleen (Cramer) Rapp, age 79, of Battle Creek passed away September 25, 2019 at home with her family.
Sharon was born on February 24, 1940 in Battle Creek to Stanley and Genevieve (Louden) Cramer.
She graduated from Vicksburg High School and went on to earn her Associates degree from Kellogg Community College. Sharon married Bruce Rapp in Battle Creek on May 19, 1964 at Convis Union United Methodist Church and together they raised three children. She worked as an office administrator for Lifespan for over twenty years, retiring her career in 2010.
Sharon enjoyed playing piano for weddings, funerals, and church services. She was a longtime member of the Convis Union Church, and a 10 year member of the Rhema Word Outreach Center. Sharon lived her life for God and her faith was her solid foundation. She was always looking for ways she could bring Christ's light into the world and into the lives of those she loved and those she encountered from day to day. She was church secretary for several years and the choir director at Convis Union Church for many years, and a member of the Burnham Brook Singers. Sharon loved to garden and tend to her flowers. She also enjoyed reading, going for walks and spending time with family and friends.
Sharon is survived by her children, Todd (Christi) Rapp of Battle Creek, Theresa Rapp of Battle Creek, and Zoe (James) Brainard of Battle Creek; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and brother, Daniel (Pat) Cramer of Vicksburg, She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy John Rapp; husband, Bruce Rapp; and parents, Stanley and Genevieve Cramer.
Visitation will be held at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 Old US 27 North, Marshall Chapel on Monday September 30, 2019 from 5-8pm.
A celebration of life will take place at the funeral home on Tuesday October 1, 2019 at 11am with Pastor Cheryl Jones officiating.
Memorial contributions are requested to the Rhema Word Outreach Center located at 21342 Capital Ave NE, Battle Creek, MI 49017.
