Scott Carl Brockman, age 58, of Marshall, MI formerly of Battle Creek, passed away suddenly Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at his home. He was born October 29, 1959, the son of Carl and Monya (Romanowski) Brockman. Scott was a Battle Creek Central High School graduate. After high school he attended Kellogg Community College. He then continued his education at Spring Arbor University, earning a Bachelor's Degree in nursing. Scott married Lori Carus on September 9, 1988 after years of being friends and coworkers. He was employed with Community and Bronson Battle Creek Hospitals for 34 years.
Scott and Lori enjoyed camping at their owned campsites in Nashville and Hastings. They also enjoyed camping at State Parks and Camp Thornapple with family. In Scott's younger years he enjoyed playing Bass Guitar in his rock band. Several years ago the group reunited and started playing together again. In his free time he enjoyed reading. More than anything he loved spending time with his grandchildren and his family.
Left to cherish his memory, is his loving wife of 30 years, Lori; children, Chris (Minchie) Brockman, Samantha (Kevin) Rayner; parents, Carl & Monya Brockman; step-children, Shaun (Tiffney) Tallent, Shannon Tallent; 6 grandchildren; and siblings, Vicki (Gary) Lindquist.
In accordance with his wishes cremation has taken place. Private family services will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Marshall District Library.
