Rose Marie Leedy

Rose M. Leedy, age 76, of Battle Creek, MI passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born on September 28, 1942 in Detroit, MI the daughter of Patrick and Myrna (Hair) Murphy. Rose was employed with Columbia Cleaners for several years. She enjoyed reading, embroidery, fishing, cooking, watching her favorite movie Harry Potter, sewing, playing BINGO, crossword puzzles, laughing and being a practical joker and playing with her cats. Rose was a thoughtful and caring woman who would do anything for anyone. She always took the time to send Holiday cards to everyone. Her time and phone calls will be missed.

Rose is survived by her daughter, Maria A. Murphy of Battle Creek; 5 grandchildren; brother, George J. Murphy of Michigan; boyfriend, Andre Davis of Battle Creek; and special friend, Cynthia Davis. She was preceded in death by parents.

Family will receive friends at Kempf Funeral & Cremation Service, Battle Creek on Friday, May 10, 2019 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00pm. A private family burial will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery at a later date. Memorial contributions may be directed to American Diabetes Association.
