Mary Lou Duckham, 80, of Marshall died on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo following a short illness.

Mary Lou was born on April 4, 1938 in Marshall to Harry and Esther (Rapp) Miller. She graduated from Olivet High School in 1956. On August 5, 1956 she married Richard L. Duckham in Olivet.

Mary Lou worked for several years at Oaklawn Hospital and later at Southwest Michigan Rehabilitation. She retired in 1991. She was a member of Lyon Lake United Methodist Church, Fountain City Squares, and Maric Squares Square Dancing groups. Mary Lou enjoyed traveling, spending the winters in Texas, and going to Jams.

She is survived by her husband Richard of Marshall; son Thomas Duckham of Marshall; granddaughter Constance (Richard) Baker of Tekonsha; three sisters Shirley Lawler of Marshall, Darlene Coats of Olivet, and Dorothy Stults of Marshall. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Phillip Duckham; great-grandson Richard E. Baker III; sisters, Betty Faulkner, Marian Heisler, Margert Miller, and Mildred Foote; and brothers, Harry, Robert, and Laverne Miller.

Family will greet friends on Sunday, June 17, 2018, at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services Marshall Chapel, 723 US 27 North, with family present to greet friends from 3pm-6pm. Funeral services celebrating her life will take place at 11am on Monday, June 18, 2018 at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services Marshal Chapel 723 US 27 North with Celebrant Jacob Washburn and Mr. Melvin Banfield officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery. Memorial contributions are requested to Marengo Community Church or to the Shriner's of America. Assistance with memorials is available at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
