Marc Alan Walters, age 64, of Marshall passed away February 19, 2019 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland.
Marc was born on August 18, 1954 in Battle Creek to Norman Earl and Jacqueline Marie (Wiersema) Walters. He graduated from Marshall Public Schools with the class of 1972.
Marc entered into the United States Navy on April 3, 1975 and proudly served our country until his honorable discharge on January 26, 1981. While overseas Marc met and married Marilou Lopez Moran. They wed on January 11, 1978. Marc and Marilou had 3 daughters and shared 41 loving years together.
After his military career, Marc worked as a laborer at Graphic Packaging in Battle Creek from 1987 until his retirement in 2016.
Marc was interested in Native American tools and weaponry, and was a member of the Arrowheads and Artifacts Club. He enjoyed participating in Civil War Reenactments, and spending time at the casino. Marc enjoyed traveling, and spending quality time with his grandchildren.
Marc is survived by his wife, Marilou Walters of Marshall; daughters, Minchie (Chris) Brockman of Kalamazoo, Mary Ann Sullivan of TN, and Nikki Walters of Marshall; grandchildren, Bryson Sullivan, Alanna Brockman, Olivia Miller, Garrett Brockman, Sophia Miller, Camilla Brockman, and Savannah Dean; parents, Norman and Jacqueline Walters of Marshall; sisters, Bonnie (Scott) Ellis of Battle Creek, and Karen (Duane) Sly of Marshall; and brother, John Walters of Marshall.
Cremation has been conducted and a private family gathering will take place at a later time.
