Manuela D. Madrigal

Manuela D. Madrigal, 90, of Marshall died on Thursday, August 23, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family following a short illness.

Mrs. Madrigal was born on November 3, 1927 in San Benito, Texas to Miguel and Sophia (Villavobos) Nieto. She married Miguel Madrigal in 1949, and he preceded her in death in 1998.

Mrs. Madrigal was a home maker and stayed at home and raised her family. She also worked at the Hill Crest Coffee Shop for a few years. Mrs. Madrigal was a member of Saint Mary Catholic Church and an officer in the Our Ladies of Guadalupe. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, sewing, and needle point. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, canning and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Manuel Madrigal, Lucy (Bing) Robinson, Carlos Madrigal all of Marshall, and Daniel Madrigal of Battle Creek; grandchildren, Gabriel (Rachel) Robinson, Colette (Richard) Smolek, Robert Madrigal, and Christopher (Christina) Madrigal; nine great-grandchildren; siblings, Miguel Nieto, Rosario Nieto, Zoyla Nieto, and Laura Nieto; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son Miguel Madrigal Jr.; daughter-in-law Anne Madrigal; and brothers, Lolo and Edwardo Nieto

Family will greet friends on Tuesday August 28, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services Marshall Chapel 723 US 27 North with a rosary services taking place at 7pm. A funeral mass will be held at 11am on Wednesday August 29, 2018 at Saint Mary Catholic Church with Reverend Father Craig Lusk officiating. Interment will follow at Saint Mary Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions are requested to Charity of one's choice. Assistance with memorials is available at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
