Lynn R. Bonynge, age 58, of Battle Creek passed away due to a heart attack on Saturday, September 29, 2018. She was born August 28, 1960, the daughter of Clark Searle and Norma (Schneider) Church in Marshall, MI. Lynn was a high school graduate of Marshall High School. She went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree at Central Michigan University and two Master's Degrees at Western Michigan University. Lynn was an Educator with the Calhoun Intermediate School District until her recent retirement. Lynn married Matthew Bonynge on August 3, 1991 and together they had two children.
Lynn enjoyed puzzles and word games. She loved listening to music and playing the piano. Lynn recently started gardening; she had a beautiful flower and vegetable garden that she loved to tend. She enjoyed swimming throughout her life. Most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 27 years, Matthew; children, Will Bonynge and Rachel Bonynge; parents, Bill and Norma Church, Clark and JoAnne Searle; siblings, Pam (Mark) Shoemaker, Neal (Cindy) Searle; step-siblings, Tim (Emily) Beattie, Lori Miller; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Family will receive friends at Kempf Funeral & Cremation Services in Marshall on Thursday, October 4, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 1:00pm with Jacob Washburn officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to Friendship Circle, 6892 W.
