Lucile S. Strohmenger, age 98, of Albion, MI, passed away peacefully Wednesday, March 6, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Venice Township on October 22, 1920, the daughter of Seymour and Mabel (Lyons) Shipman. Lucile married Frank Strohmenger on June 20, 1940 and together had three children. They remained married until his death in September of 1990.
Lucile is survived by children, Susan (Kenneth) Lauer of Albion, Nan Hunter of Cleveland, OH; grandchildren, Tim (Michele) Lauer, K. Stephen (Sandra) Lauer, Andrew (Patty) Hunter, Christian Hunter, Meredith Foster, Cindy (David) Torrey, Dean (Maria) Strohmenger, Sherri (Shane) Stone, Andrew (Jacque) Strohmenger; 20 great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Dotty Strohmenger. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; son, Renny Strohmenger; her parents and 4 siblings.
In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A private Celebration of Life will take place at Saint James' Episcopal Church, 119 W. Erie St., Albion, MI 49224 on Saturday, March 23, 2019.
