Letha J. Clift, 85, of Bellevue, died on Monday, August 19, 2019 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Letha was born on September 23, 1933 to Elston and Jessie (Morris) Pierce, in Bellevue. In 1951 Letha graduated from Bellevue High School, where she was the Band Drum Majorette and on July 4, 1952 she married her best friend Clyde R. Clift, in Bellevue.
Letha was a waitress and cook in Bellevue from the age of fifteen until retirement. She enjoyed listening to music, dancing, bike riding, refurbishing furniture, spending time with family/friends and watching The Lawrence Welk Show.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda (Andy) Harrison and Debbie (Randy) Whitcomb all of Bellevue; grandchildren Erin (Wes) Peart, Jessi (Bret) Flower, Garett (Char) Whitcomb, Brian Whitcomb, Amy (Phil) Rigelman and Brooke (Grant) Bivens; 12 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Elston and Jessie (Morris) Pierce; husband Clyde R. Clift in 2000; daughter Lisa L. Clift in 2015; great grandson Ford Andrew Flower in 2013; 3 sisters; and 4 brothers.
A graveside service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Bellevue Riverside Cemetery. Following the service the family invites everyone to gather with them for a luncheon at the Bellevue Conservation Club at 8484 Greenfield Highway, Bellevue MI.
Family requests memorial contributions to Oaklawn Hospice. Assistance with memorials is available at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
