Kristen Kinsey 93, of Marshall formerly of Albion died on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at Whispering Meadows Adult Foster Care Home following a short illness.
Mrs. Kinsey was born on August 31, 1924 in Rangarvallasyla, Iceland to John and Kristjana (Eyjolfsdottir) Johansen. She graduated from High School in Iceland. On August 31, 1947 she married George Kinsey in Battle Creek, and he preceded her in death in 2005.
Mrs. Kinsey worked in Janitorial Services for Albion Public Schools for several years. She enjoyed knitting, cooking and watching her grandchildren. Mrs. Kinsey loved caring for people and taking them to their appointments or just to visit with them. She also enjoyed traveling though out the country.
She is survived by her children, Helga (John) Conrad, Gerold (Naoma) Kinsey, and Helene (Mike) Stefaniuk; seven grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a son Willy Kinsey.
A private graveside service took place at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family requests memorial contributions to Great Lakes Hospice. Assistance with memorials is available at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
