Kathleen "Kathy" (Stafford) Jarvis

Kathleen “Kathy” (Stafford) Jarvis, 88, of Battle Creek, passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, surrounded by her family.

Kathy was born on November 7, 1934 to Fred Stafford and Essie (Gibson) McPherson in Hellier, Kentucky. She worked at the old McGraw Edison plant in Albion and then went to work at Cellasto Plastic Corporation in Marshall. In later years she worked as a caretaker in the healthcare industry and enjoyed being with her family and friends.

Kathy attended the Marshall Church of Christ. She also taught Sunday school in Virginia.

Kathy is survived by her grandchildren, Vanessia Parham, Michelle Lindsey, and Jeffery Lindsey; great-grandchildren, Alivia, Genesis, Janessia Parham, and Fancy, Justin, Destiny Redmond.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughters, Doris K Jarvis and Della May Lindsey; brothers, Johnny Bartley, Fred Stafford, Franklin Stafford, and Raymond Stafford; sisters, Christine Stanley, and Dorothy Evanoski; and grandson-in-law, Charles Parham.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 29, from 11am-1pm at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 US Hwy 27 N, Marshall, Michigan 49068. A funeral service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Jay Chambers officiating. Family and friends will then process to Marengo Village Cemetery, 525 Broad Street, Albion, Michigan 49224, for a graveside service.
