Joseph C. Selepak passed away on July 17, 2019 at the age of 58 in Pennfield Township.
Joe was born on December 9, 1960 in Jackson to Joseph and Pauline Selepak. Joe along with his brother Tony were raised in Jackson. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Tony.
Joe moved to Battle Creek with his mother to care for her after a stroke. They eventually moved in with older brother Tony and he provided hospice care for both Tony and his Mom.
Joe would miss a meal for a train set or railroad related item. As a young man, the habit of train collecting and layout building caught hold of him. Because his close friends knew of his passion, Joe volunteered early on with the Festival of Lights setting up and attending to, the Christmas train displays in the various warming houses.
The past 2 years, Joe volunteered to create and set up a very nice train display at the Battle Creek Regional History Museum during the Christmas Holidays. He will be missed for his willingness to create these memories.
Joe's friends will miss his opinions, his Judo stories and know that now, he is in Railroad Heaven, riding the rails.
