Joe Bryant Garber

July 28, 1971 — August 5, 2019

On Monday August 5, 2019 Joe Bryant Garber (48) of Marshall Michigan made the final transition to meet our heavenly father. Joe was Born on July 28, 1971 to Raymond "Mickey" Garber & Nancy Garber (Now residing in Escanaba Michigan) at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall Michigan.
Joe and Mickey shared the same birthday which has always been said to be the best gift ever. As kids, Joe and his brother Paul (residing in Escanaba Michigan) were All American sports loving, bike riding products of the 70's and 80's. No bike helmets or selfies. They would often be found Swimming at the Whitesell's pool in the summer or sledding at Gordon school hill in the winter. A youth filled with camping, fishing, playing spotlight, Cub Scouts and Atari.
Joe was very passionate about the things in life that he loved. Music, Notre Dame football, Red Wings Hockey but mostly his family. Joe leaves behind his children Sydney Garber (Grand Rapids), Noah Garber (Grand Rapids) & Lucas Garber (Marshall) and Grandson Michael (Grand Rapids).
Through High School Joe worked at Circus-Circus with all of his friends. This afforded him the luxury of keeping gas in his 1984 Ford Escort (Grey in color) as well as buying cassette tapes (Mostly Hair Bands) and concert tickets. Rolled up jeans and a Mullet haircut (Business in the front, party in the rear), he and the boys could usually be found cruising through town on the weekends or in Battle Creek catching White Snake or Metallica in concert.
Joe was known for a goofy contagious laugh, a constant smile and a relentless pursuit of all things funny (He had memorized every episode of Seinfeld).
Always a dedicated brother, son, and father he would take many trips to the Upper Peninsula to spend time in God's Country with his family. The Yooper's Tourist Trap was his favorite destination.
A memorial gathering will take place from 3-5pm on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the Marshall Chapel of the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 723 US 27 North.
