Janet Ann (Blake) Outman, 77 of Bellevue passed away Friday July 5, 2019 at Bronson Battle Creek following a long illness.
Janet was born on September 6, 1941 in Bellevue to Fredrick Blake and Anna (Pierce-Blake) Swank. She graduated from Bellevue High School in 1959. Janet met LaVern E. Outman in 1959, and they were married on March 26, 1960 at the Bellevue United Methodist Church. Together they spent 58 years of marriage and raised four sons.
Janet worked for a shot time at Leila Hospital in Battle Creek. After she was married, she stayed home to raise her family. Janet loved her flower gardens, sewing, feeding the birds, and collecting dishes.
She is survived by her sons, Matthew Outman, Patrick (Sue) Outman, Thomas Outman, and Spencer (Chris) Outman all of Bellevue; a granddaughter Savannah Outman; brothers Jerry (Van) Blake of Battle Creek, Wendall (Luann) Swank of Harrah, Oklahoma, sister Sheryl (Joseph) Robertson of Lincoln Park, Michigan; aunt Letha Cleft of Bellevue; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lindall and Anna Swank; husband LaVern Outman in 2018; infant son Jamie in 1964; infant daughter Wendy Ann in 1972; brother Robert Swank; and a sister Sandra Swank.
