Jaclyn Sue Hendrickson

Jaclyn Sue Hendrickson, 61, of Fishers, Indiana, died on Thursday, August 9, 2018, at the Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis, after a short illness. Jacki was surrounded by her loving family.
Jacki was born on August 8, 1957 in Battle Creek to Walter J. and Hazel G. (Van Patten) Hendrickson. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1975, and went on to earn her Bachelor's Degree in 1979 from Central Michigan University.
Jacki's entire career was spent in the Insurance industry. She worked briefly in Battle Creek following college. From there she moved to St. Louis, MO to work for American States/Safeco and was transferred to Indianapolis in 1998. Her expertise was in the personal lines area and in 2002 she became an underwriter for Arlington/Roe and Company in Indianapolis, where she worked until her death. Jacki was held in high esteem by her coworkers and everyone she had contact with in the insurance industry. She considered her coworkers friends and was loved by many.
Jacki had many creative outlets during her life. She enjoyed cross stitching, was a voracious reader, and loved buying fabric but said that she was "quilting in her mind". She had many friends that she shared those passions with. She loved attending book clubs and looked forward to discovering new authors. While growing up in Marshall she was active in 4-H, the Methodist Youth Fellowship at Convis Union United Methodist Church, and participated in the choir at Marshall High School. She was also active in various professional groups.
Jacki spent as much time as she could with friends and family. She is survived by her siblings: Judith (Charles) Cieslak of Marshall, John (Billie) Hendrickson of Chesterfield, MO, and Jerry (Maribeth) Hendrickson of Kalamazoo; nieces and nephews, Debbie (Kirke) Love, Donald White, Mark (Kim) Hendrickson, Kenneth (Jennifer) Hendrickson, Kelli (James) Clark, Kerry (Steve) Paul, Eric Hendrickson, and Matthew (Vanessa) Cieslak; and 14 great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Jane E. White; and a niece, Kimberly White.
Family will greet friends on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services Marshall Chapel, 723 US 27 North, from 10-11a.m. with a funeral service taking place at 11 a.m. with the Reverend James Codde officiating. Interment will follow at Oakridge Cemetery.
Family will gather with friends following the committal services at the Kempf Marshall Chapel Reception Hall. Memorial contributions may be made to Gleaners Food Bank of Indiana or to the Marshall Fountain Clinic, which provides medical care for those in need. Assistance with memorials is available at Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
