Gail F. Beck, 88, of Tekonsha died on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at her home following a short illness.
Gail was born on January 6, 1930 in Crab Orchard, Nebraska to Dawn and Mary (Burns) Stearns. She married Ronald M. Beck and he preceded her in death.
Gail worked as a retail manager for Kmart Stores for many years. After her retirement, she worked at Te-Khi in Tekonsha and the Airport Inn. Gail loved to fish and enjoyed fishing every chance she got. She took several fishing trips across the country and loved spending time in nature out on the water. When Gail was not fishing, she loved camping at Tri-Lake Trails Campground, fixing anything broke, working on crafts, reading, and watching westerns.
She is survived by her daughter Sharon (John) Dawson of Arkansas; two grandsons, Bill (Leslie) Dawson and Doug Dawson; three great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; a brother Louis (Gayle) Stearns; special cousin Louise Vaughn; nieces and nephews, and a good friends Geri Brigel, and Darlene Watson, and Katrina (Bud) Sexton. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister and four brothers, and a good friend Wyla Ossenheimer.
A memorial service will be private. Memorial contributions are requested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Assistance with memorials is available at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services.
