Edmund Michael Lieb, age 77, of Bellevue, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on January 7, 2018. Edmund was born on October 24, 1940 in Battle Creek to John and Ethel (Jones) Lieb.
Edmund graduated from Bellevue High School in 1960. After graduation he joined the Airforce and was enlisted for four years. After serving our country Edmund married the love of his life Judith Ann Schwab on May 29, 1965 in Nashville, MI. Together they raised three daughters. Edmund worked on the assembly line as a Painter for Fisher Body in Lansing with Union #602 for 32 Years before retiring in 2001.
Edmund loved to watch NASCAR, go to country music concerts and play cards with friends and family. He enjoyed spending a lot of his time planting his gardens and especially meeting his friends every morning at the Riverside Café in Bellevue, MI.
Edmund is survived by his wife Judith Ann (Schwab) Lieb, daughters Susan Tarr of Bellevue, Sandra Briggs of Bellevue and Kim (Sam) Baggins of Pensacola, FL, three wonderful Grandchildren Michael (Kayelynn) Tarr of Battle Creek, Tia (Adam) Carter of Battle Creek and Lacey Briggs of Bellevue, great grandchild Jackson James Carter of Battle Creek, siblings Sidney (Linda) Lieb of Oakdale, Eldon Lieb of Bellevue, Gayl Lieb of Bellevue and Margaret Stafford of Battle Creek. Edmund is preceded in death by parents John and Ethel Lieb, sisters Arnita VanTassal, Agnes Smith and numerous half siblings.
Visitation for Edmund Lieb will be held at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 205 North Elizabeth Street Bellevue, MI 49021, Bellevue Chapel on Thursday January 11, 2018 from 5-8 PM.
