Bryan David Wiess, age 65, of Marshall, formally of Pinconning, passed away August 23, 2018.
Bryan was born on June 12, 1953 in Bay City, MI to Leo and Jean (Finkbeiner) Wiess. He graduated from Pinconning Area High School with the class of 1971 and went on to earn his Associates Degree in Architecture from Ferris State University.
Bryan worked at Mallard Lumber Yard for 26 years until their closing. After Mallard closed its doors, he opened up his own garage door and construction company; Wiess Doors.
Bryan met Sylvia Bunn in 2007. The couple has been together happily for over a decade.
Bryan was a hardworking man. He loved spending time with his children and family. He was giving, and always put others before himself. Bryan was very organized, and enjoyed building wooden toys and furniture for his grandchildren. He liked working on and around the house. Bryan took great pride in his work. He also enjoyed traveling.
Bryan is survived by his children, Melissa Wiess of Bay City, Audrey Polaski of Piconning, Aaron Wiess of Ann Arbor, Amanda (Michael) Miller of Hemlock, Matthew Wiess of Ann Arbor, and Michael Wiess of Pinconning; Fiancée, Sylvia Bunn; grandchildren, Jacob, Erika, Eddie, Brianna, Allen, Morgan, Maya, Nick, Dylan, Kylie, Corbin, and Brooklyn; great-grandson, Tyler; brothers, Leo Kernstock, Dale Wiess, Gary Wiess, and Mark Wiess; and previous wife, Teresa Bock. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Jean Wiess.
Cremation has taken place in accordance with Bryan's wishes. A memorial gathering in his honor will take place Tuesday September 4, 2018 at 2PM at the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services, 723 Old US 27 North, Marshall Chapel. Another memorial service will take place on September 8, 2018 at begin at 10 AM with a service at 1PM at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home, 107 E 2nd St, Pinconning, MI 48650.
