Aneta D. Hinton, 87, of Mission, Texas died on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at Doctors Hospital at Renaissance in McAllen, Texas following a long illness.
Aneta was born on March 21, 1932 in Jackson to William and Marguerite (Metzger) Ardrey. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1950. On September 30, 1951 she married Cleo F. Hinton in Marshall.
Aneta was a home maker staying home to raise her children. She was an avid volunteer at the schools with her children and grandchildren. She was of member of the Baptist Church in Texas. Aneta enjoyed going to Jam Sessions, bingo, going for walks, and playing cards and games with her friends. She was an avid artist and loved painting and doing crafts. Aneta loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband Cleo of Mission, Texas; son Dan (Kathy) Hinton; six grandchildren; Dani (Jamie) Ray, Chelsey Hinton. Bill (Lisa) Bolton, Brooke (Derick) Moore, Lauren Hinton, and Tristan Hinton; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister Paula (John) Harkenrider of Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son Timothy Hinton in 2005, and a brother Billy Ardrey.
Family will greet friends from 4-7pm on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at the Marshall Chapel of the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Services 723 US 27 North Marshall. Funeral services celebrating her life will take place at 11am on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at the Marshall Chapel of the Kempf Family Funeral and Cremation Service with Mr. Jacob Washburn officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
