Tyler Ball

June 24, 1996 — December 21, 2014

Tyler Ball, 18, of Homer, passed away on December 21, 2014 at his home. Tyler was born on June 24, 1996 in Marshall to Tracy Fred Ball and Melanie Ann (Wagner) Ball. He has lived in Homer all of his life and graduated from Homer High School in 2014. He ran track for one season for the Trojan's until he tore a ligament in his leg. While attending high school Tyler started working construction jobs with his Uncle Jim Wagner's company, Ronald J. Wagner Construction. He has held this job the past five years and planned on it being his career. Recently, he worked on the store renovation project in downtown Homer. If Tyler wasn't working, you'd find him with a fishing pole in his hand at area fishing spots, especially his and his father Tracy's favorite "honey spot" even sometimes at 2AM! He always kept a pole in his car in case time and location permitted wetting his line! He was a talented sketch artist and enjoyed drawing. Tyler enjoyed hanging out with his buddies, especially his very special cousin Shannon Wagner with whom he grew up and graduated high school together. His parents noted that what Tyler didn't think of Shannen would! He liked all types of music but especially classic rock and roll. Tyler just finished putting up a garage at the family home with his father, where the two looked forward to working together on cars. He is survived by his parents, Tracy and Melanie Ball of Homer, his brothers Cody and Blake Ball both at home, maternal grandparents Jim and Mary Worthington of Homer and Ronald Wagner of Parma; his paternal grandmother Ida Lorenz of Homer and maternal great-grandmother Marlene Semon of Homer; his uncles Jim Wagner, Travis Baker, Nathan Baker, Dave Ball, Mike Ball, Chris Ball, Brian Lorenz and Matthew Wagner; his special cousin with whom he was "joined at the hip" during their life together, Shannon Wagner of Homer and many other cousins. Tyler was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Fred Ball, paternal step-grandfather Jack Lorenz, his great grandparents Leola and Will Lather, his great-grandfather David Semon, and his aunts Sarah Wagner and Deborah Perkins.
