Phyllis Foss

Phyllis L. (Fairchild) Foss, age 87, of St. Charles, IL, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2007 at St. Joseph Hospital in Elign,IL. Phyllis was born Oct. 19, 1920 in Charleston, SC to Harry and Mary (Huggett) Fairchild. She graduated from Hampshire High School in 1939. Phyllis moved back to St. Charles and was employed for 32 years at DuKane Corporation. She was a member of American Legion Women''s Auxillary of Oswego. Phyllis was married on July 28, 1943 to Arnold F. Stege. Mr. Stege preceded her in death on Aug. 6, 1966. On June 7, 1969 she was married to Floyd W. Foss. He survives her. Also surviving are her brothers Robert (Alice) Fairchild and Larry Fairchild all of Battle Creek; and her nephews, Alaric, Martin and Scott Fairchild. She was preceded in death also by her parents. Graveside services will be held next week on Sunday, June 8, 2008 at 1:30PM at Austin Cemetery with Rev. Robert Doner officiating. Arrangements are by Craig K.
