Peter Vasquez 54, of Marshall died on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.Peter was born on January 9, 1956, in Marshall to Pablo and Aurora (Perez) Vasquez. He attended Marshall Schools. He graduated with High Achievement from Battle Creek Central Adult Education Program in 2007.Peter worked in maintenance for the Comfort Inn in Marshall for a few years. He also worked in maintenance for Saint Mary Catholic Church and a sales manager for Kleen 2000 cleaning service in Battle Creek. Peter was a member of Saint Mary Catholic Church. He enjoyed going to his boat in Saugatuck, fishing, riding his bicycle, and photography. Peter loved cooking for his family and looked forward to family gatherings. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.He is survived by his life companion Laura (Vasquez) Mack, two sons Peter Dorsett, Adam Ricardo Vasquez all of Battle Creek, step children Michelle (Zeb) Agnone-Olsen of Perry, John Burdick Jr. of Grand Ledge; six grandchildren, Lynae, Jordan, twins Zachary and Lauren, B. Micheal and Jocelyn. He is also survived by sisters, Connie Roe, Juanita Garza both of Marshall, brothers Gilbert Vasquez, John Vasquez, Jose Vasquez all of Battle Creek, Juan Manuel Vasquez of Marshall, Arthur Vasquez of Battle Creek, and Tom Vasquez of Springport. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.Visitation will take place at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Thursday from 2-8pm with family present to greet friends from 2-4pm and 6-8pm with a rosary being held at 7pm. Funeral services celebrating his life will take place at 11am on Friday at the funeral home with Reverend Father Stephen Naas officiating. Interment will follow at Saint Mary Cemetery.
