Paula Ybarra

Paula Ybarra, age 85, of Marshall, died on Wednesday, August 08, 2012 at her home.. Mrs. Ybarra was born on March 6, 1927 in Laredo, Texas to Blas and Porfiria (Scott) Ramos. She came to the Marshall area from Texas as a young woman with her family. She worked at the former Food City Pickle Company in Marshall Township where she met the man that was the love of her life, Ralph O. Ybarra. The couple were married on September 26, 1951 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Marshall. She was a homemaker and also worked several part-time jobs in the community. Mrs. Ybarra was a devout member of St. Mary Catholic Church. She liked to garden at her home. Surviving are her husband Ralph; Jose Pepe (Julie) Amaro of Marshall, whom the Ybarra's raised as their son; her grandchildren Tyler Amaro, Alexis Amaro, and Madeline Amaro; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Juanita Bocanegra, and her five brothers Alberto Ramos, Alfredo Ramos, Domingo Ramos, Jose Pedro Amaro and Guadalupe Amaro.
