Patricia Lockyer, age 82, of Marshall, died at Oaklawn Hospital Monday morning, October 13, 2008. Pat was born September 28, 1926 in Grand Rapids at home to Milton and Ardys (Noonan) Waite. She moved to Marshall with her family as a child and has lived here since then. She graduated from Marshall High School in 1945. On September 6, 1952 she was married to Arnold Lockyer. The couple have enjoyed 56 years together. Pat worked at her sister Bobbi Smith''s dance studio, "Bobbi''s Dance Studio" in Marshall. She helped there for many years, using her excellent skills as a seamstress to create costumes. She was active at the Calhoun County for 47 years as Superintendent of Needleworks at Floral Hall. During WWII Pat was a member of the "Joe Towns Variety Show" that entertained for wounded members of the armed forces at Percy Jones Hospital in Battle Creek. Surviving are her husband Arnold; a son Butch (Cheryl) Lockyer of Hastings, a daughter Mary (Larry) Aldrich of Holland, 2 step-sons Richard (Jacki) Lockyer of Battle Creek and Tom (Tammy) Lockyer of Florida; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; a sister Bobbi (Gordon) Smith of Marshall; a nephew Grant (Helen) Smith of Georgia; special friends Jim and Laura Page; and Pat''s faithful dog, "Little Girl".She was preceded in death by a daughter in infancy Robin and her parents. Friends may call at Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home on Wednesday 2PM-9PM where family will be present to greet friends and share memories from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-8PM. Funeral services to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday at 1PM at Kempf Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Ft.
