Nora Rogers 67, of Tekonsha died on Monday November 10, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital in Battle Creek.Nora was born on October 31, 1947 in Jackson to Dr. Thomas and Margaret Hackett. She graduated from St. Thomas Catholic School. On December 27, 1993 she married Roy Rogers in Tekonsha.Nora worked for the Michigan Department of Corrections for over 20 years. She worked out of the Jackson Prison and later would retire out of the Coldwater Facility. She also was owner and operator of the Timeless Antiques in Tekonsha for several years. Nora enjoyed antiquing, reading, and playing on her nook.She is survived by her husband Roy of Tekonsha; three children, Valerie Rice of Battle Creek, Brian (Dorothy) Laberteaux of Spring Arbor, and Carrie (Phil) Goodman of Tekonsha; five grandchildren, Chad Rice, Jason Rice, Chamellia Goodman, Jade Goodman, and Jake Laberteaux; a sister Margie Hackett; and brothers, Mike Hackett and John Hackett. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother Tim Hackett.A private family service took place at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
